Our client operates a Boutique Hotel property in Bahrain, as well as standalone restaurant and Tearoom, and is currently seeking to appoint an experienced Pastry Chef. The client is looking for a Pastry Chef with a strong eye for quality and details - those of you who think “that will do” need not apply. You will coordinate all aspects of the Pastry and Bakery division of the kitchen in terms of operations, hygiene, health and safety, and the preparation of food items in accordance with strict guidelines in order to ensure that quality and consistency is achieved at all times, within specified budgets and operational guidelines. You will assist in the creation and costing of new menus and recipes to enhance the quality and variety of dishes available to guests, ensuring all food meets the required standards. To be considered for this role you will have 6 years’ experience as Pastry Chef, with a solid understanding of all aspects of Pastry and Bakery production. If you have worked closely with an owner or property investor this would be a benefit. The ability to communicate fluently in English, both written and spoken, is a must.
